1. Who we are

This website, rubyourmeatco.com, is run by  Rub Your Meat Co. LLC ("Rub Your Meat," "we," "us"), based in Denver, Colorado. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Using the site

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order, or have a parent or guardian's permission. You agree not to use the site for anything illegal, to interfere with how it works, or to try to get into parts of it you aren't meant to access. We may refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion.

3. Products

We make dry BBQ rubs and sell related merchandise. We do our best to show products, colors and ingredients accurately, but colors on your screen may differ, and we may update recipes, labels or packaging over time. The ingredient list printed on the jar you receive is the one to rely on.

Allergens: our rubs are made without wheat, dairy, nuts, soy or MSG. Every ingredient is listed on the jar and on each rub's page. If you have a food allergy or sensitivity, read the label before use. Our rubs are made in a kitchen that may handle other ingredients, so we can't guarantee they are free of trace amounts.

Food safety: our rubs are seasonings. Always handle, store and cook meat, poultry and seafood to safe temperatures. Store jars closed, in a cool, dry place.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time. Taxes are added at checkout where required. If a product is listed at the wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you, even after it's been placed. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners; we never see or store your full card details.

5. Orders and cancellations

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship it. We may limit quantities or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock or the order looks fraudulent, and we'll refund anything you paid. If you need to change or cancel an order, email us as soon as possible. We can usually help if it hasn't shipped yet.

6. Shipping

Orders ship the next business day. Free shipping applies to U.S. orders over $50; otherwise, shipping costs are shown at checkout. We also ship internationally. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or fees charged by their country, and delivery times can vary. Delivery dates are estimates, and we aren't responsible for carrier delays. Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, we aren't responsible for lost or stolen packages, but reach out and we'll do what we can.

7. Returns, refunds and damaged orders

Because our rubs are food, we can't accept returns of opened or used jars. If your order arrives damaged, defective or wrong, email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we'll send a replacement or refund at no cost to you. Unopened merchandise, such as hats, may be returned within 30 days of delivery in original condition; return shipping is paid by the customer unless we made a mistake. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method.

8. Emails and texts

If you sign up for The Rub Down or another list, you agree to receive marketing emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email. We send order and shipping emails regardless, because they're part of your purchase.

9. Photos and content you share

When you tag us, post with our hashtags or send us photos, reviews or comments (for example for the Meat Wall), you confirm it's yours to share and give us permission to use, display and share it, with credit to you where practical, on our website, social media and marketing, without payment. You can ask us to take your content down at any time and we'll remove it from our site. Please don't share anything illegal, hateful, or that shows other people without their OK.

10. Our name and content

The Rub Your Meat name, logos, labels, jar artwork, photos, writing and site design belong to us. You may not copy, sell or use them, including on products or in business names, without our written permission. Sharing links to our site and posts is always welcome.

11. Wholesale

Wholesale orders, pricing and terms are agreed separately with each retailer in writing. These Terms apply to wholesale customers where that agreement doesn't say otherwise.

12. Third-party services

Our store runs on Shopify, and we use other services such as payment processors, shipping carriers and Instagram. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we aren't responsible for them.

13. Disclaimer

We work hard on our rubs, but the site and products are provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including that the site will always be available or error-free, or that a product will suit your particular taste or purpose.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Rub Your Meat and its owners won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to cover us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your breaking these Terms or misusing the site.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when. Changes apply to orders placed after they're posted.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given up the right to later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any policies on our site, are the whole agreement between you and us about using the site.
